The annual Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department Santa Run 2016 is quickly approaching! The date for this year is Sunday, December 4th. See the attached Firehouse Santa 2016 flyer for your community stops and times.

For those new to the Edgewater area, the WBVFD Santa Run is an event where Santa rides through communities on the fire truck to visit with children and collect gifts that are donated locally to families who are struggling to provide a Christmas for their children. We do accept non perishable food items, used winter coats, gloves and other cold weather outerwear that are in good condition.

In addition, we will be supporting The Blue Ribbon Project, a local non profit organization that provides aid and resources to children who have been placed in foster care due to abuse and/or neglect. The Blue Ribbon Project was founded by a local police detective and friend to the WBVFD. If you would like to help, please visit How To Build A Backpack Of Love. Please label these items with “Blue Ribbon Project” and do not wrap these items.

If you have any questions, please email Chief Bobby Howlin at jhowlin@woodlandbeachvfd.com. We look forward to seeing all of our neighbors on December 4th!
