Two people have been killed as the result of a motor vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in Harwood. Around 4:25 p.m. firefighters responded to an auto accident with the report of one vehicle overturned in the 3600 block of Solomons Island Road near Swallow Lane. Arriving firefighters found a three vehicle, head on auto accident with one vehicle overturned. The driver of the overturned vehicle, a 21-year-old male, was deceased on the scene. The passenger of the vehicle, a 20-year-old female, was flown to Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police helicopter with critical, life-threatening injuries. Anne Arundel County Police have released that this patient died Monday morning at Shock Trauma. The 27-year-old driver and lone occupant of the second vehicle was transported by paramedics to Shock Trauma with injuries that were serious but not believed life-threatening. The driver of the third vehicle declined transport to the hospital.
