On Saturday, February 22 around 17:08 hrs, Riva and Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Departments were alerted to a motor vehicle collision involving two bicyclist in the area of Renditions Golf Course located on Centeral Ave. West in Davidsonville, Maryland. Ambulance 2-9 arrived first on location finding two victims that were reportedly struck by a vehicle which had fled the scene. Ambulance 2-9 crew immediately began assessing patients. Due to the extent of the patients injuries, Aviation was requested for a Category A, Priority 1 Patient. WBVFD’s Medic Engine 2 and Chief 2 established a landing zone at Davidsonville Elementary School. Additional units arrived on scene and ultimately transported one patient to the landing zone where she was flown by Eagle 1 to University of Maryland, Shock Trauma Center. The additional patient was transported by ground unit to D.C. MedStar Trauma.
Anne Arundel County Police Traffic Safety Section is asking for any information about the suspect vehicle involved in the collision.
The suspect vehicle is described as a light colored 1995 – 2001 Honda CR-V. The vehicle should have front and/or right side damage also missing the passenger side mirror. The driver is described as a 50 – 60 year old white male with grey mustache and wearing sunglasses at the time.
