MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION WITH ENTRAPMENT IN THE 2-26 BOX

 January 17, 2016

THE FOLLOWING IS A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT

One person was seriously injured in a motor vehicle collision in Edgewater early Sunday morning. Firefighters responded to the area of Route 214 and Loch Haven Road around 1:45 a.m. for a reported auto accident. Personnel located a single vehicle accident involving a pickup versus a tree with the driver and lone occupant trapped. The patient, a 60-year-old male, was extricated in about 20 minutes and then transported by paramedics to a Maryland State Police helicopter which landed at South River High School. The patient was transported by helicopter to Shock Trauma with serious, but not believed life-threatening injuries.
