
Selby Blvd Fire 10/16/23
On October 16th at 2129hrs, Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department and surrounding stations were alarmed for a residential structure fire in the 800 block of Selby Blvd. First arriving units initially reported flames were visible in the rear of the home and smoke coming from the eaves. A working fire dispatch and tanker task force was requested by Chief 2 at that time. E021 made initial fire attack on the back of the house. RS01 entered the front of the home and performed primary search, no occupants were found. Water Supply was set up under Chief 40 command at the end of Selby Blvd with other units. After approx. 20min fire was reported under control. Units remained on location for approx. 2 1/2hrs for overhaul and fire investigation.
